Intellectually curious? If you love the Resident Associate lectures at the Smithsonian, taking advantage of the latest quirky offer from Groupon, or just exploring all the unusual and somewhat geeky things the DC metro area has to offer, this group is for you. We get together and explore the lectures, exhibits, plays and off beat activities of DC, while meeting new people. Our members tend to be in their mid twenties to mid-fifties, but all are welcome.

In 2001 I studied Chinese calligraphy at the Smithsonian Resident Associates with an artist from Shanghai. That summer I enrolled in Chinese language courses at the Northern Virginia Community College. I have been studying Chinese ever since. In 2010 I completed a graduate program at the Hopkins- Nanjing Center (HNC).
